24 finalists competed in Elite Singers competition

The Rotary Club of Nanganallur Elite conducted the finals of ‘Elite Singers of Tamil Nadu’, a state-level singing talent hunt, on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at DAV Baba School, Ullagaram, Chennai, from 9 am to 9 pm.

About 60 contestants, selected from the quarter finals, participated in the semi-finals across 3 age categories: 7 to 15 years, 16 to 30 years, and 31 years and above. The finals began around 4.30 pm and were inaugurated by Mr. Vinod Sarogi, district governor, Rotary International District 3234, along with Ms. Usha Sarogi.

A total of 24 finalists, selected from the semi-finals, competed in the grand finale, which continued till night.

Eminent judges were part of the judging panel, ensuring a fair and professional evaluation. Mr. Sridhar, past district governor, was the chief guest for the award ceremony and prize distribution, held along with the judges.

The musical support for the entire event was provided by Yuvaraj Band, who added great value to the show with their orchestra and were later felicitated by the chief guest and honoured by the Rotary Club of Nanganallur Elite.

Parents and contestants appreciated the club for conducting the event in an excellent and encouraging manner. Ms. Meena Sathish, club secretary, proposed a vote of thanks.

The prize money for the competition was Rs. 15,000 for 1st place, Rs. 5,000 for 2nd placec, and Rs. 3,000 for 3rd place in each group.

Group 1 (Age 7 to 15 years):
1st Prize – Ms. Akshara Ashok, 2nd Prize – Mr. Pranov G & 3rd Prize – Ms. Janushika
Consolation Prizes – Mr. Satvik and Ms. Pragati Ganesh

Group 2 (Age 16 to 30 years):
1st Prize – Mr. Abisheik Rajesh, 2nd Prize – Ms. Thaneeksha, 3rd Prize – Mr. Shivakumar
Consolation Prizes – Mr. Lokeswaran and Mr. Rajat Venkateswaran

Group 3 (Age 31 years and above):
1st Prize – Mr. Sudarshan G, 2nd Prize – Mr. Subhash, 3rd Prize – Mr. Vijayakumar
Consolation Prizes – Mr. Gurunathan and Ms. Uma Parvathy

On the occasion, a cheque towards a portion of the contribution for the rooms of the new block of Hindu Mission Health Services, Nanganallur, under construction, was handed over to Ms. Usha Krishnamoorthy, secretary, on behalf of the Rotary Club of Nanganallur Elite.

Sponsors of the grand finals of Elite Singers of Tamil Nadu were also honoured by the district governor, marking the successful conclusion of a memorable cultural event.
