Due to the ongoing crisis related to the Middle East war, the
demand for LPG gas has increased across India.
This situation is also being felt in the neighbourhood areas such
as Nanganallur. Many residents are trying to prepare for any
possible shortage by buying induction stoves and electric
cookers.
In the Nanganallur market area, several appliance shops have
started displaying induction stoves and electric cookers in large
numbers. Some small shops have already run out of stock due
to heavy demand. Residents also informed that on online
platforms like Amazon, basic induction stoves are already out
of stock, showing the growing concern among the public.
At the same time, petrol pumps in and around Nanganallur,
Pazhavanthangal, Madipakkam and Adambakkam have been
witnessing heavy crowds. Many people are rushing to fill petrol
and diesel in their vehicles. Even commercial vehicles like
tempos and lorries were seen waiting in long queues at several
pumps.
Petrol pump staff said petroleum companies and the
government have already assured the public that there is no
shortage of petrol and diesel. Officials have also advised
