A procession was conducted at Lakshmi Hayagreevar Temple
Wednesday, March 18, 2026, marking the occasion of
Amavasai.
The event was part of the temple’s regular Pancha Parvam
Utsavam, during which a purappadu (procession) is held.
Residents and devotees gathered to witness the event.
At the temple, processions are conducted five times every
month under the Pancha Parvam Utsavam.
These are held on Maasa Pirappu, Amavasai, Ekadasi (twice in
a month), and Thiruvonam.
On Thiruvonam day, the procession also includes Vedanta
Desika, along with Perumal and Thayar.
The monthly events continue to be part of the regular activities
of the temple and are attended by devotees.
