On the morning of Tuesday, March 10, 2026, a Women’s Day
celebration was conducted at the Greater Chennai Corporation
Mayor’s office at Ripon Buildings, Chennai.
As part of the celebration, Mayor R. Priya presented the ‘Best
Woman’ award to ward 167 Councillor, Mrs. Durgadevi
Natarajan. She was selected for her overall performance and
dedicated public service.
This recognition is a proud moment for the people of
Nanganallur, especially residents of ward 167.
The event also featured various cultural programmes.
After receiving the award, Councillor, Mrs. Durgadevi
Natarajan, addressed the gathering and expressed her heartfelt
thanks.
