There is still chance to get name added to voter list

| S VENKATESHWARAN |

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced a final
opportunity for eligible citizens to add their names to the voter
list for the 2026 Assembly election.
According to officials, people who have not yet registered as
voters can apply either online or in person. The last date to
submit applications is March 27, 2026. This is an important
deadline for those who wish to cast their vote this election.
The final date for filing nominations is April 6, and voter
registration will be accepted only up to 10 days before that.
Those who complete their registration by March 27 will be
included in the supplementary voter list and will be allowed to
cast their vote, says ECI.
Officials have clearly stated that applications submitted after
March 27 will not be considered for this election. Such
applications will be processed only after the election is over.
The Commission has urged all eligible citizens to make use of
this final chance and ensure their names are included in the
voter list.
