Devotees gathered from morning till night to offer worship
during Sri Rama Navami celebrations at Nanganallur Anjaneyar
Temple.
The celebrations were conducted in a grand and well-organised
manner. Early in the morning, at 6 am, Sri Rama Navami
seedhanam was performed. This was followed by the
commencement of the 5th kala yaga puja. Special
thirumanjanam was also performed.
Later, maha poornahuthi and gadam purappadu took place,
followed by kalasabhishekam. Laksharchanai was then started,
and the deities bedecked with special alankaram.
Buttermilk was offered to the devotees by Phavman
Annadhanam Trust outside of the Rama Mandiram Kalyana
Mandapam.
On March 28, laksharchanai continued with the participation of
many devotees. Today, Sunday, March 29, the laksharchanai is
scheduled to conclude by 11 am. In the evening at 7 pm. a
grand procession of Sri Ramar is set to be conducted.
Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, former Governor of Telangana & Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry and present Mylapore MLA candidate, visited the temple in the morning and received the blessings of Sri Ramar and Anjaneyar during the auspicious occasion of Sri Rama Navami.
It is noteworthy that the Sri Rama Navami celebrations at the
temple began on March 20 and are concluding today. During
this period, special maha yagams were conducted, attracting a
large number of devotees every day.
