As part of their 434th week of service, on March 21, 2026, MSS
Trust carried out a tree maintenance activity along the
Velachery–Tambaram Road, near Pallikaranai Eco Park.
Around 27 volunteers took part in the activity. They worked
together to take care of nearly 100 trees in the area. The team
cleaned the surroundings, watered the plants and ensured the
trees were well-maintained.
Continuing their dedicated service, MSS Trust also carried out
their 435th week activity on March 28. During this activity,
volunteers focused on maintaining the surroundings, showing
their ongoing commitment to environmental care.
MSS Trust has been actively involved in social and
environmental service for many years. The organisation is well-
known for its regular weekly activities and dedication towards
protecting nature.
One of their major achievements is their work in and around
Madipakkam lake and Karthikeyapuram lake. Most of the trees
surrounding these lakes were planted by MSS Trust volunteers
over the years, and they continue to maintain them regularly.
Their efforts in planting, nurturing and protecting these trees
have greatly improved the greenery and ecological balance of
these areas.
In addition, the Trust conducts Uzhavarpani once every month
in various temples, encouraging public participation and
promoting cleanliness in sacred places.
The volunteers did an excellent job and their continuous efforts
are helping to improve greenery, restore water bodies and
create a cleaner and healthier environment for the public.
