The Panguni Brahmotsavam at Dharmalingeswarar Temple
was celebrated with great devotion and concluded in a grand
manner, attracting a large number of devotees throughout the
festival period.
One of the major highlights was the ther festival on Sunday,
March 29, 2026, where the beautifully-decorated temple chariot
carried the deity through the streets. Devotees gathered in
large numbers to enthusiastically draw the chariot.
The festival concluded on April 1 with the grand thirukalyanam
(celestial wedding) of Lord Dharmalingeswarar and Goddess
Sarvamangala Devi, conducted in a very traditional and divine
manner. Hundreds of devotees witnessed the sacred
ceremony.
With this, the processional utsavam concluded, and the
traditional vidayatri (farewell rituals) commenced from
Thursday, April 2, marking the formal conclusion of the
Brahmotsavam.
As part of the concluding celebrations, a series of cultural and
spiritual programmes have been arranged by the temple
authorities.
On April 2 evening, a special sangeetha upanyasam by Sri
Muralidhara Dass, on the theme ‘Rama Kripa Darbar – Siva
Naama Prachara’, was held.
On April 3, a vocal concert was presented by Yuvaka Bharathi
Vrishrudhi Krish and troupe. Further, on April 4, a
Bharatanatyam performance was presented by Rasa Arpridha
Academy, Nanganallur.
