Immersive Rama Navami festival in Temple Town

Sevasri Charitable Trust, Nanganallur, celebrated Sri Rama
Navami festival with great devotion and enthusiasm through a
series of spiritual and cultural events.
The first event began Friday, March 27, 2026, at 7 am and
continued till March 28, 7 am.
An Akhanda Sri Rama Nama japam and parayanam were
conducted continuously for 24 hours.
The sacred event and food were sponsored by Mr. Ravindran
and astrologer, Mr. Narayanan.
It was followed by a soulful nama sankeerthanam by Smt. Sai
Janani. The programme was held at Valluvar Jothidam,
Durairaj Residence, Lakshmi Nagar Main Road, Nanganallur,
with active participation from devotees.
The second event, ‘Bala Raman’, specially designed for
children, was conducted on March 29, from 9 am to 7 pm at Sri
Sudarshan Mahal, 6th Main Road, Nanganallur. The event saw
enthusiastic participation from children and parents.
Various programmes were organised throughout the day,
including Sri Vishnu Sahasranama Parayanam, children’s
speeches on different topics related to Lord Sri Rama,
recitation of slokas from Valmiki Ramayanam and songs from

Kamba Ramayanam, and a quiz competition based on the
Ramayanam.
A Harikatha performance by Sri Guru Anugraha group and a
colourful fancy dress competition by children dressed as
characters from the Ramayanam added special charm to the
celebration. A graceful dance performance by Nivedana
Nrithyalaya group was also well-appreciated by the audience.
The event was successfully organised by Sevasri members,
including Mr. Sourirajan, Mrs. Latha Ramanujam, Mrs. Sujatha
Srihari, and Mr. Sriramkumar.
The festival was coordinated by Mrs. Divya Narayanan and
Mrs. Vaishnavi, along with members of the Sri Vishnu
Sahasranama Bhakta Jana Sabha.
