His passing has left a deep void among residents and music lovers.
Sri Ramanathan was not just a music lover, but a true torchbearer of musical tradition. Through his efforts, the Thyagaraja Samajam grew into a well-known platform that promoted classical music and encouraged many young talents. In a strange coincidence, his close associate Senthagudi Sri Jayaraman, another music legend, attained the lotus feet of the Lord on April10, 2026. Sri Ramanathan and Sri Jayaraman had performed dual music concerts in the past. Sri Jayaraman was also associated with the Samajam during its early years, making this loss even more emotional for the music community.
