The grand Sri Krishna Jayanthi / Gokulashtami celebrations at
the Arulmigu Adivyadhihara Bhakta Anjaneyar Temple in
Nanganallur are being conducted with great devotion and
enthusiasm. A large number of devotees from Nanganallur and
surrounding areas have been participating in the various
special programmes.
The temple is well-known for its 32-foot Anjaneyar and also has
a separate shrine for Sri Krishna with Rukmini and
Satyabhama.
As part of the celebrations, special homams have been
conducted daily during the festival period. On September 4, the
day of Sri Krishna Jayanthi, Sri Jayanthi homam was performed
in the morning.
Special abhishekams, laksharchanai and other religious
programmes were also conducted as part of the celebrations.
Today, September 6, the concluding day of the celebrations,
special alankaram and a procession will be held in the evening
around 7 pm. A large number of devotees is expected to
participate in the concluding programme and seek the
blessings of the deities.
