On the occasion of Tamil New Year (Parabhava) Tuesday, April
14, 2026, special events will be held at Sri Karpaga Vinayagar
Sri Pandurangan Sir Saradhambhal Temple, Shanthi Nagar,
Adambakkam.
The celebrations will begin in the morning at 7 am with Vishu
Kani for Sri Karpaga Vinayagar. The deity will be beautifully
decorated with a variety of fruits for public darshan.
In the evening, at 6.30 pm, the processional deity of Sri
Karpaga Vinayagar will be decorated with flowers and taken in
a procession around the temple streets on mooshika vahanam.
The procession will be accompanied by nadhaswaram, thavil,
and bhajans by Adambakkam Saradha Mahila Bhajan Mandali.
At 7 pm, Nannilam Brahmasri Krishna Ganapadigal will present
the Panchanga Patanam as part of New Year celebrations.
