Mrs. K. Vijaya Lakshmi, wife of Dr. K. Janardhanam, a dental
surgeon from Nanganallur, has announced free sloka classes
for children studying from 1st standard onwards. The classes
will begin May 18, 2026, and will be held every Wednesday
evening from 5 pm to 6 pm.
The classes will take place at No.10, 5th Main Road,
Nanganallur, opposite the Girls Higher Secondary School, at
the residence attached to the dental clinic. Parents and children
from the neighbourhood are invited to take part in this useful
spiritual learning opportunity during the summer holidays.
Mrs. Vijaya Lakshmi is a member of the Chinmaya Mission and
has been teaching Bhagavad Gita, Vishnu Sahasranamam,
Mukunda Mala and various slokas composed by Sri Adi
Sankara, for more than 30 years.
Many of her students have won gold medals in various
competitions conducted across the city.
The classes are being organised to help students spend their
summer holidays in a meaningful and useful manner while
learning traditional values, spirituality and devotional songs.
