The administration of Sri Karpaga Vinayagar Sri Pandurangan
Sri Saradhambal Temple, No. 9, 9th Street, Shanthi Nagar,
Adambakkam, has announced that Maha Chandi Homam will
be performed April 30 and May 1, 2026, at the temple.
On April 30, the rituals will begin at 7 am with Sri Maha
Ganapathi homam, followed by Sri Karpaga Vinayagar
abhishekam and maha deeparadhanai.
After the rituals, prasadam will be distributed to all the
devotees. On the same day, 5 pm, Maha Chandi homam will
begin.
The first kala pujas will include Sri Vigneshwara puja, Vasthu
shanthi, Mruthijgrahanam, raksha bandhanam, go puja, kalasa
sthapanam, Devimahathmiyam Parayanam, Navakshari japa
homam, 64 Bairavar Yogini bali, deeparadhanai and prasadam
distribution.
On May 1, the rituals commence at 5.30 am. They include Sri
Vigneshwara puja, Varuna puja, kalasa puja, deeparadhanai,
Devi Mahathmiyam Parayanam and Adhyaya homam.
At 8.30 am, the second phase of Maha Chandi Homam will
begin. The rituals include gho puja, 108 sumangali puja,
vasthra samarpanam, Vasordharai, mangala purnahuthi,
abhishekam, kalasa abhishekam, deeparadhanai and
annadhanam for devotees.
At 5.30 pm, Sri Saradhambal procession will take place. The
deity will bless devotees during the oonjal seva.
