View cutters are actually view enhancers

As mentioned earlier by Nanganallu Speaks, many areas in Nanganallur and its surrounding localities have now been fitted with view cutters on electric transformers. These newly-installed view cutters are giving a neat and attractive look to the transformers while also improving public safety.

The view cutters are specially designed steel sheets fixed around the transformers. They help prevent any disturbance to the equipment, ensure uninterrupted power supply and protect the public from accidental contact. Each view cutter has a unique design.

In several prominent locations across Chennai, these view cutters are painted with designs representing famous tourist and heritage places such as Mahabalipuram and the Thanjavur Big Temple, adding an artistic touch to public spaces.

In Nanganallur, view cutters have already been installed in areas like Lakshmi Nagar and Thillaiganga Nagar. Similar installations are in progress across other parts of Nanganallur and are expected to be completed soon.
