Two meaningful donations for children

On Monday, January 12, 2026, the president and members of
the Inner Wheel Club of Nanganallur visited Gnanodhaya
School, near Singaperumalkoil. During the visit, house coats
were distributed to all the schoolchildren.
It is to be noted that 12 other Inner Wheel clubs from District
323 joined this noble initiative and contributed by providing
sports T-shirts to the children. The children happily received the
gifts.
Mrs. Padma Venkataraman was the chief guest for the
programme, and district chairman, Mrs. Devi Mathimaran,
attended as guest of honour.
The school celebrated the Pongal festival in a traditional
manner with beautiful kolam decorations, sugarcane and a
colourful Pongal dance performed by the children, creating a
joyful atmosphere.
In another meaningful initiative, the Inner Wheel Club of
Nanganallur, along with other Inner Wheel clubs of District 323,
jointly helped cancer-affected children by donating new dresses
for Pongal at Adyar Cancer Institute.
The children enjoyed wearing the new dresses and celebrated
the Pongal festival happily.

The members of the Inner Wheel clubs returned with great
satisfaction after taking part in these service activities, says
