Blood donation camp exclusively for thalassemia kids

Online NGO #greenNanganallur, along with Rotary Central
TTK-VHS Blood Bank, is organising its 13th blood donation
camp to help children suffering from thalassemia.
The camp is being held under the theme ‘People Live When
People Give’, to encourage more donors.
Thalassemia is a genetic blood disorder that reduces
haemoglobin levels, causing anaemia and poor oxygen
circulation in the body of the patient.
The camp will take place today, Sunday, February 15, 2026, at
Thenpothigai Yoga Studio, located at 35a/12a, 3rd Main Road,
Co-Operative Society Colony, Nanganallur.
It will run from 10 am to 5 pm.
All the blood collected during the camp will be used for children
with thalassemia, who require regular transfusions to manage
their condition and lead a healthy life.

greenNanganallur encourages all eligible donors to step

forward and support this important cause. By donating blood,
individuals can directly help young patients in need and
improve their quality of life. Every donation counts and can
save lives, they say.
People who wish to donate must be between 18 and 65 years
of age, weigh at least 45 kg, and have a haemoglobin level
above 12.5 g/dl.
