Road access at the corner of 1st Main Road and 2nd Main
Road near Utthara Guruvayoorappan Temple, Ramnagar,
Nanganallur, has been partially blocked as Metrowater has
started sewage pipe replacement work.
Due to this work, traffic has been diverted. Vehicles going
towards 3rd Main Road, Ramnagar, are taking 8th Street. Only
two-wheelers and a limited number of autos are able to pass.
This has caused temporary inconvenience to residents and
daily commuters. As seen at the spot, a large earthmover has
been parked, and work is being carried out with barricades
placed around the area.
In recent times, similar sewage and stormwater drain
improvement works have been carried out in Nanganallur and
nearby areas to prevent waterlogging during the monsoon
season.
Many residents have expressed their understanding about the
importance of this work for better drainage facilities. The
replacement work is expected to be completed soon.
The authorities are hopeful of completing the project on time,
which will help ensure smoother drainage and provide a better
living environment for the community.
