The Inner Wheel Club of Nanganallur celebrated International
Women’s Day at Ranjani Hall, in Nanganallur, on March 11, by
honouring three women for their outstanding service to society.
Mrs. Subhadra, a teacher from Nanguneri, was recognised for
her dedication to teaching, healthcare support and service to
senior citizens.
Mrs. Geetha Murthy was honoured for her exceptional service
with the Sankara group of institutions and for her selfless work
for elderly care.
Mrs. Sathya, a nurse, was appreciated for her contribution to
healthcare and for providing personal care to bedridden
patients.
Mrs. Devi Mathimaran, district chairman, attended the function
as chief guest.
Members of the Inner Wheel Club of Nanganallur participated
in large numbers, said club editor Mrs. S. Anandhi.
Before the award function, the club extended support to a
woman who irons clothes along with her husband near 6th
Main Road by presenting her a new iron box to help improve
her livelihood.
