Due to the ongoing crisis in the Middle East, there has been a
sudden increase in demand for LPG gas cylinders for
household use, creating shortage. As a result, many people
have started using induction stoves, which depend on
electricity.
Because of this change, electricity usage has increased sharply
in many areas. The Electricity Board (EB) has taken note of this
situation and issued an awareness notice to its staff and the
general public.
EB officials have advised people to use electrical appliances
carefully, especially induction stoves. Before using any
electrical product that has not been used for a long time, it
should be properly checked to ensure it is in good working
condition.
The department has also instructed its staff to be alert and
ready to handle any increase in load or emergency situations.
In case of any electrical issues or emergencies, the public is
requested to contact their nearest EB office immediately.
The EB department has appealed to everyone to use electricity
safely and responsibly during this period of increased demand.
