Starting Tamil New Year with service to society

The Rotary Club of Nanganallur Elite organised a special
grocery distribution for autorickshaw drivers ahead of Tamil
New Year. The event was held Sunday, April 5, 2026, and
benefited 24 auto driver families.
Monthly grocery kits were distributed to support the families
during the festive season. The initiative brought happiness and
relief to the beneficiaries.
The entire project was sponsored by club learning facilitator,
Mr. J. Suryanarayana, with grocery kits worth Rs. 10,000. His
contribution reflects the spirit of service and care for the
community.
The event took place in the presence of club president, Mr. V.S.
Gopalakrishnan, first lady, Mrs. Shanthi Gopalakrishnan,
community service director, Mr. Sowrirajan, and member, Mr.
Selvaraj. The venue was provided by Mr. Selvaraj at his shop.
The auto drivers and their families thanked the club for the
timely support. They expressed their happiness and
appreciation for the help received during the festive time.
