Kumbabhishekam performed for Paathala Vinayagar temple

The maha kumbabhishekam of Arulmigu Paathala Vinayagar
Temple on Madipakkam – Medavakkam Main Road was
performed Thursday, April 30, 2026, between 9 am and 10.30
am.
The rituals for the kumbabhishekam began April 26 with
Vinayagar puja and Ganapathy homam.
On April 27, Lakshmi homam and other special rituals,
including Samhidha homam were performed. On April 28,
vimana kalasa puja was conducted, followed by the beginning
of the first kaala yaga saalai rituals.
On April 29, the second kaala yaaga saalai puja was
performed, and around 10 am, the vimana kalasa pradhistai
was completed.
On the final day, the grand maha kumbabhishekam was
performed. The sacred ceremony first took place at the
Paadhala Vinayagar shrine, followed by the kumbabhishekam
for Sri Durgai and Navagraha shrines.
A large number of devotees gathered and participated in the
holy event. The temple was filled with a divine atmosphere and
devotees had darshan and received the blessings of the
Almighty.
