The 41st annual day of Nanganallur Ladies Association and the
prize distribution function for its 12th summer camp for students
were celebrated recently. The programme began with a
welcome address by president, Mrs. Vasanthi Rajarajan.
Secretary, Mrs. Devi Mathimaran, presented the annual report
of the association.
Chief guest, Dr. (Mrs.) Geetha Sri, music teacher, delivered a
special address and distributed prizes to the students. The
lifetime achievement award was presented to treasurer, Mrs.
Dhanalakshmi Narasimhan, in recognition of her dedicated
service.
Member, Mrs. Krithika Srinivasan, honoured Mrs. Vasanthi
Rajarajan, Mrs. Devi Mathimaran and Mrs. Dhanalakshmi
Narasimhan by presenting medals and appreciating their
continuous social service activities.
On behalf of the Nanganallur Ladies Association, social
workers Dr. Subha Ravi Shankar, Mrs. Parimala, Mrs.
Bhanumathi Raghavan, Mrs. Kumara Devi and Mrs. Akhila
were honoured for their contributions to society.
Members who successfully organised the summer classes,
including Yoga, Zumba, Aathichudi, Bharathiyar songs, and
dance programmes, were also recognised. Volunteers who
supported the activities were honoured as well.
Mrs. Lavanya Ramesh, who made excellent arrangements for
the entire event, received special appreciation from all
participants. This was followed by cultural programmes
performed by children and members. Prizes were distributed to
all participating children.
Members of Thirukkural Peravai and 167th ward Councillor,
Mrs. Durga Devi Natarajan, attended the function. The
programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Latha.
