The Rotary Club of Nanganallur Elite, under Rotary District 3234,
donated medicines worth Rs. 5,00,000 to the residents of Little Drops
Old Age Home, Saturday, June 13, 2026.
This noble initiative was the first major service project of club
president 2026-27, Ms. Meena Sathish, and club secretary 2026-27,
Mr. Ilayaraja Sunderasan.
The programme was conducted in the presence of Rotary district
governor 2026-27, Mr. Suresh Jain. He appreciated the efforts of the
club in supporting senior citizens and encouraged members to
continue serving society through meaningful projects.
The medicines were formally handed over by district community
service (health) chairman, Mr. Maheshwar. The donation included
essential nutritional supplements and cardiac care medicines that will
help improve the health and well-being of the elderly residents of the
home.
During the event, the club leaders stated that caring for senior citizens
is both a responsibility and a privilege. They emphasised that
supporting the healthcare needs of the elderly was an important part
of Rotary’s mission of service.
Club members also spent time interacting with the residents, sharing
warmth, care and companionship. The residents expressed their
gratitude for the thoughtful gesture.
With the message, ‘Nourishing health, enriching lives, together we
create lasting impact,’ the Rotary Club of Nanganallur Elite continues
its efforts to make a positive difference in the lives of those in need.
