Residents suggestions to be incorporated in park

Development works at the State Bank Main Colony park are
progressing steadily, and a review meeting was held Friday,
July 10, 2026, to discuss the ongoing project.
The meeting was arranged after 167th ward Corporation
assistant engineer (AE), Mr. Kothandaraman, invited
representatives of the State Bank Main Colony Association to
meet the executive engineer (EE), Mr. Ravirajan, and share
their suggestions regarding the ongoing construction of the
stage, room, and toilet in the park.
During the discussion, the association suggested a few
modifications, including improvements to the pathway steps,
the electrical junction box on the stage, and the toilet facilities.
The executive engineer assured the residents that the ongoing
works would be completed within a month.
On behalf of the association, two additional requests were also
submitted: laying cement flooring in the seating area, and
installing a permanent concrete base with an iron flag post for
flag-hoisting.
Mr. Ravirajan readily accepted both requests and instructed the
assistant engineer to carry out these additional works as well.
The meeting was attended by association president, Mr.
Balasubramanian, secretary, Mr. S. Premkumar, treasurer, Mr.
G.D.S. Mani and other representatives, who shared their
suggestions for the betterment of the park and its facilities.
The State Bank Main Colony Association thanked the assistant
engineer and the executive engineer for their sincere efforts,
prompt response and willingness to incorporate the residents’
suggestions into the project.
