Continuing its mission to make the city greener, Madipakkam
Social Service (MSS) Trust carried out its 449th week of
environmental service by planting 25 tree saplings on
Engineers Avenue 1st Main Road on Saturday morning.
The tree plantation drive was conducted with the support of the
Engineers Avenue Residents’ Association. The organisers
thanked association president, Mr. Sajjid, and his team for
extending their full cooperation in making the programme a
success.
The volunteers also expressed their gratitude to Ms. Viji, who
served sundal and buttermilk to the participants, and Mr.
Varatharajan, who arranged tea and snacks for the entire team
after the plantation drive.
MSS Trust has been carrying out regular tree plantation and
environmental activities for several years. Through its weekly
green initiatives, the organisation has planted hundreds of trees
across different parts of Chennai with the support of local
residents and volunteers.
The latest plantation drive once again highlighted the
importance of community participation in protecting the
environment and creating a greener neighbourhood for future
generations.
