Chennai Corporation carries out civic works in TempleTown

Several civic maintenance and development works were
carried out in Nanganallur over the past five days as part of
routine infrastructure improvement and public safety measures.
On Thursday, July 30, Greater Chennai Corporation workers
carried out desilting work in the stormwater drain on 43rd
Street, Nanganallur, to improve rainwater flow and prevent
waterlogging during the monsoon.
The same morning, fogging operations were conducted in SBI
Colony Extension as a preventive measure to control mosquito
breeding.
On Wednesday, July 29, workers repaired a damaged sewage
pipeline on the State Bank Colony Main Road, helping restore
the proper functioning of the drainage system. Desilting work
was also carried out in the stormwater drain on 41st Street,
Nanganallur, under ward 167.
Also, on July 29, representatives of the 167th ward, along with
assistant engineer, Mr. Kothandaraman, inspected the site
where a new badminton court is proposed to be developed on
100 Feet Road. The inspection was conducted to review the
proposed location and the progress of the project.

Earlier, on Tuesday, July 28, Corporation workers removed tree
branches touching overhead electricity lines on MMTC Colony
Main Road to prevent power disruptions and ensure public
safety.
These civic works are part of Greater Chennai Corporation’s
ongoing efforts to improve public infrastructure, maintain
drainage systems, enhance sanitation and ensure the safety
and convenience of residents in Nanganallur.
