The 80th Indian Independence Day was celebrated with greatenthusiasm and patriotic spirit at the Lancor Courtyardapartment, Nanganallur, Saturday, August 15, 2026. A largenumber of residents attended the celebrations and participatedactively in the programme.The programme began with a welcome address by Mr. C.Balaji, association president. The national flag was hoisted byMs. Vaidehi, aged 84. Despite her age, she participatedenthusiastically and proudly in the ceremony. Her activeparticipation inspired the residents and was widely appreciated.National songs were sung by Mrs. Bhavani and Gen Zparticipant, Ms. Sudhiksha, adding a strong patriotic touch tothe celebration. A special speech was also delivered bySudhiksha, who shared her thoughts on Independence Dayand the responsibilities of the younger generation.The programme was compered by Mr. RVR, who conductedthe event in his lively and engaging style. He kept the audienceactively involved throughout the programme and made thecelebrations enjoyable for everyone.Mr. Krishna Desikan, enrolled as an advocate last week, alsoaddressed the gathering.The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr.Sathiyamurthi, secretary, who thanked all the residents andparticipants for their wholehearted support.Pic courtesy: RVR
