The 80th Indian Independence Day function was organised by
former Madipakkam Panchayat Board president, Mr. N.
Thyagarajan, Saturday, August 15, 2026.
The function remembered the sacrifices of freedom fighter, Dr.
Subramaniam. Special importance was given to his family
members, and his son, Mr. S. Nehru Subramaniam, who is now
aged, was invited and honoured during the programme.
The participants recalled the contributions and sacrifices made
by Dr. Subramaniam during the freedom struggle and paid their
respects to his family.
Breakfast was served to all the participants at the end of the
programme.
