Regular evening rain in Nanganallur and several parts of
Chennai brings welcome change in the weather, giving
residents some relief from the usual heat.
The rain, particularly during the evening hours, brings a cool
and pleasant atmosphere across many neighbourhoods.
Several residents said the cooler weather has even reduced
their dependence on air-conditioners at home.
While capturing these images, residents of Ramnagar and 4th
Main Road, Nanganallur, shared their views on the evening
showers. Many said the rain was a welcome relief after the hot
weather and makes the evenings much more comfortable.
At the same time, some residents expressed a practical wish.
They said if the rain begins after 10 pm, it would be more
convenient for those returning home after completing their daily
work. According to them, late-night showers would allow
residents to complete their work and reach home without
getting caught in the rain.
With the cool breeze and occasional showers, the evening
weather has certainly brought a pleasant change for residents,
making the neighbourhoods feel cooler and more comfortable.
