A new water fountain installed by Greater Chennai Corporation
(GCC) on Jawaharlal Nehru Salai, near Thillaiganga Nagar
under the MRTS bridge, has become an attraction for residents
and commuters.
The recently installed fountain has added a fresh and pleasant
look to the area. Many people travelling through the stretch
have been stopping to have a look at the fountain.
The MRTS bridge pillars in the area had already been given an
artistic makeover, adding colour and beauty to the
surroundings. With the addition of the fountain and the
greenery maintained in the centre median, the entire stretch
now presents a more pleasant and attractive view.
Residents and commuters have welcomed the improvement
and expressed hope that such beautification works will continue
on other important stretches of the locality. They also felt that
maintaining the fountain, plants and artwork regularly would
help keep the area clean and attractive for everyone.
