Agarwal Charitable Trust, Chennai, organised a special
charitable programme Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 12 Noon,
to distribute bedsheets, sarees and dhotis to Urbaser Sumeet
sanitation workers. The programme was arranged by Mr. N.V.
Sampath.
The trust also extended support to workers of the Balaji Nagar
crematorium at Puzhuthivakkam. The initiative was organised
to support and appreciate the workers who play an important
role in maintaining cleanliness and providing essential services
to the community.
The programme was attended by Mr. K.C.S. Prabhu, vice
president, Federation of Adambakkam Alandur Welfare
Associations (FAAA); Mr. P. Murthy, general secretary, FAAA;
Mr. S. Bhaskar, treasurer, FAAA; and Mr. Narayanamoorthy,
secretary, Kootturavu Nagar Makkal Nala Sangam.
The distribution of essential items was a meaningful gesture of
care and support towards the sanitation and crematorium
workers. The programme highlighted the importance of
recognising the valuable service rendered by these workers to
society.
