A spiritual and literary event was held Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Chellammal Vidyalaya Senior Secondary School, Hindu Colony, Nanganallur, where books authored by Sri Sivan SAR were formally released.
The programme was organised by Siva Saagaram Trust (SST), which works with the guiding principle ‘Absolute Honesty is Spirituality’.
In the early morning, Sri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal, the 70th peetadhipathi of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, gave darshan to the general public. A neat pandal was arranged outside the school premises.
Despite a light drizzle in the morning, devotees stood patiently in a long queue outside the school and received the blessings of Periyava in disciplined manner.
After the darshan, around 10.30 am, Swamigal proceeded inside the school auditorium, where the book release function commenced.
Several eminent personalities took part in the programme as special guests. They include Justice G. R. Swaminathan of the Madras High Court, Prof. V. Kamakoti, Director of the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, Sri S. Gurumurthy, Editor of Thughlak, Sri Kolahala Srinivaas, senior journalist and Founder of Kolahas TV, Sri T.R. Chandrasekaran, secretary of Chellammal Education Society, and Dr. S.G. Ramanan, medical oncologist from Apollo Hospitals.
The speakers appreciated the spiritual thoughts and values conveyed through the books of Sri Sivan SAR and highlighted the importance of honesty, discipline and spirituality in modern life.
