Southern Railway General Manager, Mr. R.N. Singh, along with
the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Chennai, and senior
officials, recently carried out a comprehensive inspection of the
newly-opened MRTS extension from Velachery to St. Thomas
Mount, including Adambakkam station.
During the inspection, the officials reviewed platform facilities,
train operations, safety measures and overall passenger
readiness along the corridor. They ensured that safety and
service standards are properly maintained at every station.
At Adambakkam station, members of the public gathered and
shared their expectations. They requested the early opening of
the ticket counter and regular train services with proper
stoppage at the station.
Commuters also urged the railway authorities to start full-
fledged services at Adambakkam station soon, which will be
very helpful for daily passengers travelling in the area, they
said.
