Showing kindness and strong community spirit, Rotary Club of
Nanganallur Elite, along with Inner Wheel Club of Chennai
Phoenix, organised a meaningful service project – A Gesture of
Love & Support – to help a deserving bride from Little Drops Old
Age Home.
The main aim of the initiative was to support the bride as she
begins a new chapter in her life with dignity, happiness and
confidence. The team provided important wedding items, basic
household needs and emotional support to help her start her
married life in a comfortable way.
The event was held Saturday, April 18 at 11 am at Little Drops
Old Age Home, Somangalam Branch, Tharavur, Tamil Nadu.
The project received wonderful support from several members
and leaders including Mrs. Sowmya Kannan, club literacy
chairman, Mrs. Shanthi Gopalakrishnan, club first lady, Mr. J.
Suryanarayana, club learning facilitator, and Mrs. Usha
Saraogi, district first lady.
In addition, Mrs. Sushila Maran, president of Inner Wheel Club
of Chennai Phoenix, along with her members, contributed
essential home appliances such as a mixer, cooker and
grinder, helping the bride begin her new life with ease and
comfort.
The project was carried out with the support of the club board
and members under the leadership of Mr. V.S. Gopalakrishnan,
president of Rotary Club of Nanganallur Elite, and Mrs. Sushila
Maran.
