A meeting of the Federation of Nanganallur Welfare
Associations was held at Voltas Colony Park on May 24. The
newly-elected MLA, Mr. M. Harish, participated in the meeting
and interacted with the members.
The meeting was chaired by federation president, Mr. Chandra
Bose. During the meeting, he welcomed the MLA and
presented a charter of demands on behalf of the federation,
requesting him to take necessary action and fulfil the demands
at the earliest.
Joint secretary, Mr. P.V. Inbasekaran, requested the MLA to
carefully review the demands and give priority to some
important issues that need immediate attention and resolution.
Mr. Harish thanked the residents and federation members for
their support. He assured them that the grievances and
demands raised by the federation would be discussed with the
government officials and necessary steps taken to resolve them
soon.
Mr. V. Rama Rao, advisor of the federation and president of
Federation of Senior Citizens Associations of Tamil Nadu
(FOSCATAN), stressed the need for the formation of an Elders
Commission, a request for which he had already submitted a
representation. Several members of the federation also

highlighted general civic issues and requested immediate
action on important public demands.
A vote of thanks was proposed by vice president, Mr.
Mahendran.
