Woman octogenarian unfurls national flag

The 77th Republic Day was celebrated in a grand manner at
Lancor Courtyard Apartments, Ramnagar 3rd Main Road.
Residents gathered in large numbers to take part in the patriotic
event.
Mrs. Vatsala Venkatraman, an octogenarian resident, unfurled
the tricolour and addressed the gathering. It was proudly noted
that senior citizens, both men and women, have been unfurling
/ hoisting the national flag at this apartment for the past five
years during Republic Day and Independence Day
celebrations.
As part of the cultural programme, Mrs. Keerthana Aravind and
junior resident Ms. Abhikya Chethan Iyengar rendered patriotic
songs, which were well appreciated by the audience.
Earlier, Mr. S. Sathya Murthi, the newly-elected president of the
welfare association, welcomed the gathering.
Mr. K. Srinivasan, a senior resident and ECM member,
proposed a vote of thanks.
The programme was compered by Mr. R.V. Ramanujam, who
shared informative points about the Constitution and other
topics of national importance.

The celebration concluded on a patriotic note with enthusiastic
participation from all residents.
