their commitment:
“I am proud to be a senior citizen of India.
I honour the journey that has brought me here.
I will live with dignity, courage and hope.
I will not allow any senior to feel lonely or neglected.
I will stand up for respect and justice for elders.
I will work for an India where every senior lives with pride.
I commit myself to the mission of AISCCON.
Together, we are strong.
Together, we are valued.
Jai Hind.”

WORLD WATER DAY
The programme also marked World Water Day 2026, with the
theme ‘Water and Gender’ and the slogan ‘Where Water Flows,
Equality Grows’.
The speakers highlighted the importance of equal access to
water and the need to involve women in water management
and decision-making.
It was pointed out that women and girls are the most affected
by the water crisis, facing challenges in health, safety and
education. The theme supports the goal of ensuring clean
water and sanitation for all by 2030.
During his speech, Mr. Rama Rao, senator, Exnora
International, Chennai, stressed that out of the world’s
population of 830 crore, only about 230 crore have access to
protected drinking water, while nearly 600 crore still depend on
unsafe water. He also expressed concern that huge amounts
are spent on wars, instead of solving basic human problems
like access to water.
