Pavements of Temple Town become safer access areas

| S VENKATESHWARAN |
As part of the Chennai 2.0 development initiative, Greater
Chennai Corporation (GCC) has started installing new steel
fencing along the walking platforms in Nanganallur.
Recently, a wide and improved platform was laid in the area,
which was also covered by Nanganallur Speaks. Along with
this, steel chairs have been installed for the convenience of the
public, especially walkers and senior citizens.
In addition, near Nehru School and Jaigopal Garodia School, a
statue has been placed to inspire and motivate people who use
the walking track regularly.
The steel fencing work has already been completed near
Independence Day park. Following this, the work has now
begun on 6th Main Road and will be extended to other parts of
Nanganallur in the coming days.
Residents have welcomed these improvements, as they help in
providing a safer and more comfortable walking space for the
public.
