Adi Sankara jayanthi celebrated with devotion

The Adi Sankaracharya Jayanthi Mahotsavam was celebrated
in a grand and devoted manner Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at
Ranjani Hall, 15th Street, Nanganallur, organised by the
Nanganallur Maha Periyava Satsangam.
The celebrations began early in the morning with Ganapathi
homam, Avahanthi homam, Upanishad parayanam, and
Ashtothra archana, where many people took part with great
devotion.
A sloka recitation competition was also conducted in the
morning for children between the ages of 5 and 15, and it saw
enthusiastic participation.
Annadhanam was served to all the devotees in the afternoon,
and many residents gathered to receive the blessings and
partake in the sacred meal.
In the evening, Trishati archana was performed, followed by the
grand chariot procession of Sri Adi Sankara through the streets
of Nanganallur. The procession passed through several
important streets and temples, and it was conducted in a
peaceful and devotional atmosphere with many people joining
throughout the route.
