Spiritual fervour marks Ashada Ekadasi at Adambakkamtemple

The Ashada Ekadasi celebrations at Sri Rukmini sametha Sri
Pandurangan Temple are being observed with great devotion
and spiritual fervour.
As part of the pre-Ekadasi celebrations, on July 23, 2026, Smt.
Ramya Padmanabhan, disciple of Smt. Vishakha Hari,
delivered a wonderful sangeetha upanyasam on ‘Pandurangan
Leelai’. Her discourse beautifully explained the divine glories of
Lord Pandurangan and was well appreciated by the devotees.
And, ‘Srothaswini’ Ladies Bhajan Group from Velachery
presented soulful bhajans.
The celebrations continued with spiritual discourses on July 24,
preparing devotees for the sacred Ashada Ekadasi observance.
Tomorrow, July 27, the main festival is being celebrated with
special abhishekam, alankaram and maha deeparadhanai for
Sri Rukmini sametha Sri Pandurangan.
A major attraction of the festival is the Sparisa Darshan, where
devotees are allowed to enter the sanctum sanctorum and
worship the Lord 10 am to 6 pm. Hundreds of devotees
patiently stood in long queues to receive the rare and blessed

Sparisa Darshan of Sri Pandurangan July 25, making the
occasion a memorable spiritual experience.
The celebrations will conclude this evening with the grand
Garuda vahanam procession.
