Showing compassion to leprosy home inmates

The president and members of the Inner Wheel Club of
Nanganallur visited the leprosy home at Paranur on July 24,
2026, as part of their annual service activity. Around 100 men
and women affected by leprosy stay at the home after being
separated from their families and relatives.
During the visit, the club members spent time with the inmates
and distributed essential items including toothpaste,
toothbrushes, bath soap, detergent soap, Dettol, cotton, lungis,
nighties, fruits, biscuits and other food items. The donations
were made to support the daily needs of all the residents.
The Inner Wheel Club of Nanganallur has been visiting the
Paranur leprosy home every year to extend care, compassion,
and support to the inmates. The members believe that
spending time with the residents and providing their basic
necessities brings comfort and happiness to them.
The inmates expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the president
and members of the Inner Wheel Club of Nanganallur for their
continued support and kindness, according to club editor, Mrs.
Anandhi Sundararajan.
