Nanganallur got ready to celebrate Krishna Jayanthi

| S VENKATESHWARAN |

Krishna Jayanthi was celebrated with great devotion in
Nanganallur Friday, September 4, 2026. The Nanganallur
market witnessed a huge crowd as residents visited the shops
to purchase items needed for the festival.
The market wore a colourful look with thoranams, mango
leaves and punnai leaves traditionally associated with the
decoration for Lord Krishna. Fresh flowers and fruits were also
available in large quantities, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Several shops displayed Krishna idols in different sizes and
attractive designs. The idols caught the attention of the public,
and many residents selected idols according to their choice and
took them home for the celebration.
The lively market, colourful decorations, flowers, fruits and
Krishna idols together created a festive atmosphere across
Nanganallur. The overall scene reflected the devotional spirit
and traditional charm of Krishna Jayanthi in the locality.
