A demonstration of electronic voting machines (EVMs) and
voter verifiable paper audit trail (VVPAT) devices was held at
Alandur constituency, near Vembuliyamman Temple, on
January 27.
The program was organised to create awareness among the
public about the voting process.
Officials informed that such demonstrations will be conducted
daily, one zone at a time, across Chennai.
The aim is to educate voters on how to cast their votes
correctly using EVMs and checking the VVPAT machines.
These awareness initiatives were very helpful, especially for
first-time voters and senior citizens.
Mr. Guru, a resident of Pazhavanthangal, said the
demonstration made the voting process easy to understand
and gave confidence to the voters.
The officials encouraged all residents to take part in these
programs and actively participate in the coming elections.
