The jeernodharana ashta bandhana maha kumbabhishekam
and Moola Mruthika Brindavana Puna Prathishtapana at Sri
Raghavendra Swamy Brindavanam Trust, Nanganallur, was
conducted in a devotional manner Thursday, July 9, 2026, in
the presence of Sri Sri Subudhendra Theertha Swamiji,
Peetadhipathi of Mantralayam Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt.
The two-day religious celebrations began on July 8 with Vedic
rituals, homams, kalasa poojas and other traditional
ceremonies. On the auspicious morning of July 9, the maha
kumbabhishekam and Moola Mruthika Puna Prathishtapana
were performed amidst the chanting of Vedic hymns by priests
following the Mantralaya tradition.
A large number of devotees from Nanganallur and nearby
areas gathered to witness the sacred event and receive the
blessings of Sri Raghavendra Swamy. The presence of Sri Sri
Subudhendra Theertha Swamiji added spiritual significance to
the occasion. Devotees enthusiastically participated in the
rituals and offered their prayers throughout the ceremony.
One of the highlights of the renovation is the new arrangement
of the three sacred Brindavanams. Devotees can now have an
uninterrupted darshan of the Brindavanams of Sri Vijayendra
Swamy, Sri Sudheendra Swamy and Sri Raghavendra Swamy
together.
Earlier, the Brindavanams were separated by partitioned
doorways, making it a little difficult to view all three at the same
time. With the renovation, the partitions have been removed,
providing a clear and beautiful view of all the three
Brindavanams from a single place. This thoughtful
improvement has been widely appreciated by the devotees.
The renovated temple premises have also received a fresh and
elegant appearance. The improved interiors, spacious layout,
enhanced lighting and peaceful surroundings have given the
Brindavanam a new spiritual ambience, making the temple
more welcoming and comfortable for devotees.
The maha kumbabhishekam concluded on a grand note with
mangala harathi, the blessings of the swamiji, and distribution
of prasadam. The trustees expressed their gratitude to all
devotees, donors, volunteers and well-wishers whose generous
support made the renovation project and the successful
conduct of the maha kumbabhishekam possible.
